Oy!
So, work wants me to start coming in at 7 in the AM.
This is, of course, not happening; the bus doesn't run until 7, which means I can't get there til eight, which let's me work for about an hour, until I have to leave for school, which is ridiculous. Straight-up ridiculous.
Now, this leaves me in an awkward position; I'm no longer the new guy, as there have been guys after me, but I am one of the new vanguard. And I'm refusing my new assignment, and getting myself out of the good graces of the lady who gives me money to perform menial labor. So! While I'm certainly not out of the job per se, I'm in such a position that I might ought to be looking for other menial tasks someone will pay me to perform, lest I get... shall we say... disappeared.
We could also say 'laid off'. But I hope we won't find ourselves having to say THAT.

I'm sure if you inform her that it is literally impossible for you to come in at 7 because of the bus schedule and that coming in at 8 and then leaving for your classes that start at 9 is just asinine, she should understand? Human beings are understand, forgiving creatures? Right?

O-oh really? I'm sorry Ed, I seem to have confused humans with dolphins again. Apparently, you are screwed.
