Hello again!

And now it's today, so I can take care of today's post, because for the better part of today I'll be traveling to Indiana to see my grandparents.

So... hm.

I'm not gonna lie, people. Some days I don't have much of substance to say. Some days the hundred-word limit is a yoke on the neck, and not an easily surpassed guideline. But dammit, I have to try!

You know... as a psudo-philosophical personal aside (which is what I do when I can't find the impetus to actually be funny), I've realized over the past however long that I've really missed this thing. This weblogging thing. This public display of my private thoughts thing. This talking in a big booming voice to the uncountable masses thing. You know. This thing.

Okay, maybe it doesn't sound like I do, at the moment, but I do. There's something about the pressure that I enjoy, the realization that I'm not just talking to anyone, I'm talking to EVERYONE. I'm being observed by my friends, my loved ones, my mother, and absolute strangers. I am important! Oh, I know your lives don't hinge upon whether or not I've had a good day... this little weblog isn't at the top of anybody's List of Things that are Important, but it's on that list somewhere, and as I'm the sort of man who's likely to forget that people think he's worth any sort of attention, it's a tangible reminder that, yes, people care about me.

And that's just one of my crippling emotional problems that this thing helps me deal with! Thanks, blog! Sorry I had abandoned you for so long!

man, you are so wrong, it's on the top of my list of Things that are Important on the Internet! Yes that last word changes the tone of the list, but hey, the -TOP- so I wouldn't complain.
