Success! I successfully sat on my ass, reading a book, a mile above five different states. I feel accomplished, and exhausted, which is weird, considering I didn't really do anything except sit, and read, and pay people to take my chair places. Alls I know is, whoa, no school for four months! Actually, my life is going pretty damned awesome right now. I got two weeks to visit my family, wherein I don't have to worry about doing
anything, then I get to go back to Iona, where I do a modicum of work in order to have a place to live (and maybe look into a paying job or getting an internship in New York City during the fall; or maybe be a shiftless layabout for the better part of the summer), and I'll be living with Tina, who's cool, and right by Chelsea, who's holding all my clothes and whatnot, and has a boat I'm invited to, and Deb, who buys me food sometimes, because she's Nutty like that, and then when school stats, I've got a light (four class) classload, and I'll be in a single room again, which isn't quite as big a deal as the fact that I'm not going to be two miles away from campus without any viable, reliable mode of transportation there or back in what has been kindly referred to as 'an overcrowded, roach-infested hovel).
Wow, that was a lot of sentence!
And now... Ed has ordered a pizza. All my favorite restaurants are in this city, and rest assured, I'll get to them all before I leave. But right now, the last thing I want is a restaurant that brings me nutritious and savory feasts; I'm freakin' hungry, and little bags of pretzels simply do not satiate the way little bags of peanuts used to, so I just want a pile of food I can mindlessly shove down my gullet within a few minutes. Domino's... will... suffice!
