(Chinese food) + (Ambiguous sexuality) = ???

On my school ID, which doubles as a mealcard for the varied restaurants in New Rochelle that accept Iona Fun Bux, there is a photograph of myself taken a while back, when my hair was longer and I had no beard. I currently have slightly less long hair, and a beard. These facts are tantamount to understanding why, today, when I attempter to purchase General Tso's Chicken today, the nice lady at the register said, and I am not kidding, "You look like a girl!".

Yes, the purveyor of those fine eastern delights explained to me in no uncertain terms that, as of one year ago, I could be mistaken for a woman, and easily. So... thanks, ma'am; I needed that, shall we say, boost to the old self-confidence. On the other hand... that was some pretty good Chinese food. Yummers.

In other news, auditions for When the Lights Went Out, a murder-mystery farce being put on by the Players. I auditioned about 10 times, against a bunch of women of varying degrees of tinning. No, really, they were either under five feet or just plain crazy-skinny. Or both. I think I have a good chance of being called back, considering they asked me to be the detective every. Single. Time.

Also, I'm on the executive board, but I've been assured that knowing the director has no bearing whatsoever on whether or not I get into the play. Mmm hmm. Yep... none at all.
