Grades is in!

Well, most of 'em have been in for a while now, but now they are ALL in. SO! I gots me four A's and one B, netting me a 3.8 for the semester, bringing my cumulative GPA up to a resounding 3.694. I am smart.

The B, incidentally, was in my Introduction to English Liturature course. This would be the lowest-level course I took, as implied by the word 'Introduction' in the title. It was a tough semester, taking five English Classes at once, and in the end, something had to give... and it pretty much goes without saying that the most boring class was the one that inevitably gave. I can't for a second pretend that my final essay was worth the paper it was printed on... among other things, it was a research paper for which I did not actually do any research. Whatever, all I wanted to do was pass, and I did the hell out of that. I also got a perfect score in my Chaucer class, which makes me strangely giddy. I know this because Dr. Carlson e-mailed me to congratulate me on my awesomeness. I am doing a celebratory little happy-dance right now.

Four more classes to go, and then I'm a graduated English major. And all y'all naysayers, saying your nays, tellin' me things like "Changing your major as you go into your senior year is, at best, a bad idea;" well, you can all go shut up. 'Cause don't nobody love you.

Go me!

Just because it's a bad idea doesn't mean it can't be done!
