ARGER!
Man, I overslept today. Like, a lot. But, sleep is good, and I hadn't been getting enough of it, so all is well with the world.
Seriously, all is well with the world. Not feeling freakishly neurotic, which is weird for me. Neurotic, yes, because I can't ever lose that side of me, but not freakishly neurotic, which is kooky. Kooky to the max. So, that's good, I guess.
In other news, I'm watching the Simpsons, and it's so terrible that it's causing me actual physical pain. Jesus... what in the living hell happened to this show? Why is it still on? Who still writes it? Why have all the characters turned into bleak and shallow parodies of themselves? How can they justify having the same exact plot that they used years ago? Does someone on staff realize that paying lip service to the fact that Homer is ignoring his job for weeks at a time is, at this point, NO LONGER SUFFICIENT? GAH!
Sorry, but the latter really pisses me off. Losing whatever semblance of real life the show once had really ruins it. The Simpsons once acted like real people... unusual people in ridiculous scenarios, but real people. Now, they are cartoon characters who use real life occasionally as a jumping-off point for zaniness. FUCK THAT.
Ahem. Sorry about that.

I absolutely agree. I really can't believe a show that I once loved and held in such high regard has sunken to basically the lowest common denominator. I wont be seeing the movie, but I'm sure it will do well enough to justify another 10 seasons out of this so called show. I hate you Fox. I hate you for ruining something I used to love.
I see the Simpsons as the kooky old man of television. He's wheeling around, yelling about how great he used to be, shitting his pants, and not being able to dress himself. But he's old, so I just leave him alone to die.
The problem is that the old man wont die. Too many people still watch the old man shit his pants and laugh so the nursing home attendants still give him is daily supplements.
