Spoiler Alert

Okay, people. I wrote a book. Remember? Well... somehow, when I typed 'the end', it wasn't the end quite yet. You see... well, I promnised a Spaceship Pirate Zombie Triumvirate, but that was before I realized that the Mad Jack story ISN'T DONE YET. That's why I'm going to chat about the sequel for a moment here.

Seriously, spoiler alert.

Okay, so we end MJ with the wormhole network thrown open, and ships careening through. What had effectively been a galaxy of self-contained nations now has to to deal with interactions on a major scale. There's a lot of distrust, and a lot of planetism, which is like nationalism, but bigger. The Alliace of Human Worlds is being planned, but in the meanwhile, there's a system of alliances, both public and secret, being made and broken every day. A pair of planets that happened to be in the same system, and have an unpleasant history together, are forcing these alliances to take two major sides. That's right... it's World War I all over again. Worth noting, of course, the mildly corrupt Earth government swept a goodly chunk of history under the rug, so the only person who recognises just HOW bad the tinderbox is would be the only living person who learned about it in school, Aram Zlottowitz. And he wasn't exactly paying attention at the time, but he's just realized that there's a good chance he's Archduke Ferdinand.

Fun? I think it could be. Also, it's late, so I'm not going to talk about the OTHER MJ project, but there's another biggie in the works. More tomorrowish, maybe.
