Just lovely!
Oh, what a lovely past couple of days I've had! I fulfilled my year-long dream of quitting the yearbook on Wednesday, which was OH so fantastic. I even got a hearty "fuck you" at my editor in, and now I am free of an organization I only joined because I was politely asked to. Hooray!
Wednesday was also the premier of the 'Nick and Ed hate each other show' on WICR. We'll have the webcast up by next week, so all y'all can give us a listen, if you want to hear two guys insult each other and play lousy music, which they then insult and apologize for. It's quite possibly the only place in the world to hear Ugly Andrew's Disco Hits, so I'd recommend you go for it.
Also on Wednesday, I went to a school-sponsored potluck/buffet deal, and I ate the most delicious hummus I've ever had. It had bits of pomegranate in it! How clever! I couldn't figure out what they were for the longest time, because it'd been ages since I'd had pomegranate. Then it hit me! Then I went and got some more dippables because ooooooh man. Hummus.
Thursday, I fed pita bread to geese!
Then last night I went and saw the new Players play, which was pretty amusing (and pulled off well, despite having the main character quit due to illness two weeks before opening and need to be replaced). Ah, the Players. I'm glad we're on speaking terms again, and that they seem to be being good. I may be trying out for the Spring musical, if they keep up the good work. Oh, and I ran into Dena, who used to be in charge of the annual one-act festival, which I am now in charge of, and she gave me a few pointers and offered her assistance as needed. Soon, I will look at the various crappy stages at Iona, and see which is the least crappy for our purposes (I like Iona, but there is not one decent stage here. Well, I tell a lie, there is one, but they don't let us USE it, so it can't really count).
Then I went to the cast party.
Whoo... the cast party.
Some details of the cast party will be left to the imagination of the reader. There was college-level debauchery in its finest form. I emerged feeling fantastic. There is another party event tonight, this time in costume. I may go... time will tell. If I go, I'll be dressed as Harrison Bergeron, though, which should make those of you who aren't FOOLS! utterly excited.
