eBay follies!
Oh yes, eBay. Where you can compete to buy stuff you don't need from people who don't want it. And sometimes they really don't want it, as evidenced by this man selling his hiking boots cursed by a Voodoo Witch. Oh, yeah, a Voodoo witch. Not the regular kind of witch, sir-or-madam, but the voodoo kind. I know I wouldn't want to deal with those boots, but somebody bought 'em for $10.50, curse and all.
People will but anything if the story's good enough. I think it was John Gephardt who said "I bet I could sell carbonated urine if I came up with a catchy enough slogan." Truer words were never spoken, Mr. Gephardt, assuming they were, in fact, spoken, and not just a figment of my fevered imagination, which, I suppose, is a distinct possibility.
