I got a piiiiiiiin!

Today was the day that I was inducted into the International English Honor Society. It means I'm better at words than any of you who don't have a wee little pin with wee little Greek letters on it what signify that you are, well, better. So, you lot are invited to bow, kneel, grovel, whatever floats your boat. You can sing a hosanna if you want, I'll not get mad.

Also, there is now photographic evidence of my high fiving Dr. Rosenfeld. This, for those of you not playing along at home, is awesome. Dr. Rosenfeld is the sort of guy who once explained to a student "if you have any idea what's going on, then the rest of the class must have a firm grasp of things."

ALSO, it's really awesome when you're talking to one of your old professors, and she apologizes because the class you were in was full of idiots. It's nice to know English professors don't like everyone. They are capable of hate, just like real people.

ALSO! Eight people plagiarized their final papers in my Intro to English class. This is a class that has a quiz on what is plagiarism, with workshops on how not to plagiarize, where the professor literally spent a class talking about the morality and practical repercussions of plagiarism. EIGHT PEOPLE PLAGIARIZED ON THEIR FINAL EXAM. What the HELL, people?

Precisely. TurnItIn.com has become something of the standard around here. ONE MORE REASON trying to plagiarize is more idiotic than words can cope with... robots are there, checking your work.
