Mementorama.

Good day today. Fantastic day! AMAZING DAY!

I'm not going to tell you why, though. Ha.

Anyway, I've been concerned about my memory. Now, I'm not being hubristic by saying I'm a pretty smart guy, I think. I know a lot of things, I'm talented with words, and I kicked the SATs in the face with my mad skills. I'm no Steven Hawking, but I'm no Steve Austin either. Not the Six Million Dollar man, the wrestler. The... the wrestling Steve Austin, not the wrestling Steven Hawking. Regardless, I'm pretty smart.

But my memory is for shit! Events of my past are this... grey blur of vague emotions and occasional disconnected bits of clarity that pop into existence only by latching on to something marginally connected to them. This gets worse as time goes back, but I think that's just because more recent events get to latch on... the blur is still there. People I know: I probably have no idea when I last spoke to you, and I almost certainly don't remember what we were talking about. Go ahead and test me! You can probably convince me I owe you money!

Is this normal? The question of my life, that; I've never really felt like a normal person, and while I've grown to accept and embrace that, I'd also like to know that something isn't totally fucked up with my brain. You know, besides the normal things that are totally fucked up with my brain. I don't want to be Sammy Jankis in my old age, all murderin' my diabetic wife like some sort of goldfishy-fishy loser.

If you have diabetes, I highly recommend you don't marry me. Or goldfish. You will be Murdered!

So, I'm not really going anywhere with this, it's just a thing that's been bothering me. It's one of those problems where the only solution is 'deal with it', which isn't much of a solution at all. The other option is 'blame my parents', which is probably justified (fucking genetics), but hardly helpful.

Ah, well. Still having a lovely day.

But dude, don't you LOVE the feeling you get when I give you money you forgot I owed you? Surprise 20 dollars!

Speaking of normal, does anyone else impersonate celebrities in there head? Like make Hugh Laurie say something funny in your head, cause it's funny? Anyone?

Yeah, there is pretty much nothing wrong with having a for-crap memory, as I deal with it on a daily basis as well.
